Street View Arts
Street View Arts is a community-led creative project in Weston-super-Mare, thanks to generous funding from Arts Council England, exploring identity, place and lived experience through photography, street art, zine-making and storytelling.
Working alongside local artists, people with lived experience of homelessness, night workers and the wider community, the project is creating safe and inclusive spaces for creativity, connection and self-expression.
What a lovely launch!
Blessings in Action CIC has officially launched 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀, supported by Arts Council England - and what better way to celebrate than alongside the soft relaunch of Wave Community Radio in their new premises!
We were honoured to be joined by the amazing Deputy to The Mayor of Weston-super-Mare, the wonderful , who officially launched our project by cutting the ribbon and joining us live on air for a little chat.
It was fantastic also to have some of our amazing facilitators there as well.
And a huge thank you to the legendary Weston Super Man for capturing the occasion and to all our brilliant facilitators, contributors and supporters who help bring this projects to life. 💛
Street View Arts is about creativity, community, stories and seeing our streets through different eyes.
And this is just the beginning…

Part 1 of our photography workshops has officially wrapped up - and what a brilliant couple of sessions it has been, thank you for being an amazing group!
We’ve enjoyed both the theory AND the practical side of photography. We’ve taken our own images, looked back at them together, discussed what worked (and what didn’t!) and picked up some fantastic tips and guidance along the way.
But something unexpected has happened too…
𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆. 👀
Through this project, we’re noticing the streets, buildings, details and little things around us that we might have walked past hundreds of times without really seeing.
We even meet the wonderful and celebrated local historian, John Crockford-Hawley, who shared fascinating insights into the history of some of the buildings we were photographing. Thank you so much John for sharing your knowledge with us, as well as a big thank you to
our fantastic photography facilitators — Ella Sayce and Heidi Burton, Photographer for all the guidance, encouragement and expertise.
Thanks We Are Super and NST Community Hub for hosting us and finally, thank you to Weston Super Man for creating and capturing some amazing footage of our workshop days. 🎥
But see for yourself here is a short video...
