Blessings in Action CIC in the News: A Week of Recognition
It has been a rather lovely week for Blessings in Action CIC, with award recognition, local newspaper coverage and another special milestone to celebrate.
Finalists in the Female Business Awards 2026
We were recently delighted to announce that Blessings in Action CIC has been named a finalist in TWO categories at the Female Business Awards 2026:
🏆 Services to Local Communities🏆 Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Champion
Being recognised in not one, but two categories means a great deal to us. As a community organisation, it gives us an opportunity to shine a light not only on what we do, but on the many people who help make that work possible.
Blessings in Action in the local news
Following the award announcement, we were thrilled to see Blessings in Action featured in both the North Somerset Post and the Weston Mercury.
The newspaper coverage also highlights our new Street View Arts project, which brings people together through photography, zine-making, street art and storytelling, with support from Arts Council England.
It is wonderful to see this project and the wider work of Blessings in Action reaching a bigger audience.
Another reason to celebrate: Rising Star recognition
As if that wasn't enough for one week, over the weekend Blessings in Action was also recognised as a Rising Star for the work being done across our community.
It is another lovely milestone for our CIC and one we are very proud to share.
But for a community organisation, recognition like this is about much more than publicity or awards. It helps us shine a light on the work happening within our community and, most importantly, on the people behind it.

Our volunteers, funders, partners, practitioners, supporters and community members all contribute to what Blessings in Action is today.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to believe in our work and helps us create opportunities for people to connect, build confidence, manage stress and anxiety, and find hope.
A special thank you also goes to the Female Business Awards organisers, sponsors and supporters for creating a platform that recognises women-led businesses and organisations making a difference.
And, of course, thank you to the North Somerset Post and Weston Mercury for helping us share our story.
Quite a week for one little CIC...
Two newspapers. Two award finalist categories. One Rising Star. And one little CIC with a big heart and a lot of determination. đź’š
